Boards
Why is the wood on my piece different from the photo on the website?
Wood is a natural material and like everything in nature, no two pieces are exactly alike. The wood color and wood grain are all one of a kind. Some pieces have striations in the grain, some have knots, some have darker spots. All of these qualities make each piece beautifully unique.
Why is the engraving on my piece darker or lighter than the photo on the website?
Each piece of wood has unique characteristics, making the engraving a little bit different. Some areas on the wood may burn darker and some may burn lighter. This just adds to the beauty of your piece.
How should I care for my board?
Hand wash boards with warm, soapy water. Stand up to air-dry. Please do not place boards in the dishwasher or let soak in the sink for a long period of time. You can apply a food-grade board oil to the surface of the wood.
